WEEK 4 - Sejahtera as Concept of Sustainable Development

This week, Prof. Dr. Suhaimi bin Mhd. Sarif. has explained to us about the Sejahtera concept and how this concept is related with sustainable development. To make it more clear, I would like to share some key points of the lessons that I got this week about it.

In general, the Sejahtera concept provides a comprehensive and balanced approach to sustainability, integrating the environmental, social, economic and spiritual components. This concept emphasizes the interconnectedness of all aspects of personal life, community and environment. This concept also promotes a harmonious living and a united society.

In terms of education, the Sejahtera concept offers a holistic approach that prioritizes the balanced development of students not only intellectually but also emotionally, physically and spiritually. It aims to foster well-rounded individuals who can contribute to their communities and the world. Therefore, this concept emphasizes that true education is not only about intellectual growth but also about nurturing compassion, responsibility and a sense of harmony with oneself, others and the environment.
