In today's world, where the challenges of climate change, resource depletion and social inequality are increasing, sustainable development can pave the way to a brighter future. However, public awareness of this approach is still decreasing. In fact, there are some of us still do not know what "sustainable development" itself means. Therefore, let's explore together to understand what sustainable development means, its purpose and its importance in today's world based on what I learnt in the class this week.

| 17 Sustainable Development Goals |
Basically, the United Nations adopted the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, safeguard the environment and ensure that by 2030 all people live in peace and prosperity.
In other words, sustainable development is a comprehensive strategy for growth that seeks to meet the needs of the present without effecting the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. This concept integrates environmental care, social equity and economic viability. These three components are interconnected with each other and it is important for long-term well-being.
The importance of sustainable development lies in its potential to address global challenges such as climate change, resource scarcity, and social inequality by encouraging measures that can reduce environmental impact, promote fair labor standards and boost economic growth. This approach also promotes the use of renewable energy and emphasizes the need to preserve biodiversity.
